Customer questions & answers
Question:
Can
the phone mount be removed to reveal a standard 1/4" tripod screw?
Answer:
The phone mount is removable and a tripod screw is revealed,
but I'm not sure if it is 1/4". However, I attached my Panasonic point-and-shoot camera to the mount, which I used to put on a standard tripod before it
broke.
By Pete on January 4, 2018
Yes. I tried it and it works with my standard tripod screw.
By AnnieDay on March 11, 2021
The answer is yes.

Question:
Does
it work for cameras as well? Do we have to purchase a screw or adapter?
Answer:
The tripod has a screw after you remove the phone adapter
By Scott carr on March 25, 2018
I wouldn't trust it to hold a heavier camera or one with a
long lens. It would do well with a point-and-shoot, however.

The Fugetek FT-569 51" selfie stick arrived the day
after I ordered it on Amazon Prime. It came in a nice little package that
included a carry sleeve with a cord shoulder strap. The one drawback was that,
rather than a user's guide, it only came with a tiny card with instructions on
how to sync the remote with your phone. That part is pretty obvious, but
removing the small remote fob from the rubber mount on the stick, itself was
not. At first, I was worried that I'd break something, given how small it is.
Once I successfully removed the fob, it was simple to do it again. The
extension clips are solid and extending the stick to its full length is quick
and easy. The length is pretty impressive. Folding out the tripod legs is easy,
too, but I would be hesitant to use the tripod with the stick fully extended,
especially outside in the wind. However, that's just common sense. Overall,
it's a very nice little product!

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect
for my needs, but not the best quality

I ordered this for my classes at school so I could both
record videos on a tripod and set it up on a desk for Zoom. So far it’s working
perfectly, it seems very steady for indoor use on carpet or wood. I don’t know
if it would hold up as well on the uneven ground outdoors.
As far as quality goes: One of the legs is pretty loose when it’s folded in but
it doesn’t appear to affect stability. Not a big fan of the Bluetooth remote-
it’s SO tiny and the battery cover is really loose, it tends to slip off in my
hand. The connection however was super easy, hold the button on the remote and
pair it on your phone. My biggest complaint is that the middle extension piece
gets stuck, it requires a good amount of force and I’m worried I’ll break apart.
Overall, if you’re using this with a phone indoors it works as well as
expected. I have to take a star off for the quality, but I would still
recommend this product.

tourist cliche still has its uses.

I purchased this tripod stick specifically for the locking
closures on the telescoping rods. I am pleased. I am delighted with the
Bluetooth connectivity of the remote to my android phone. I have used a couple
of quick-release snaps on short tethers. One setup is to tether the camera
holder to the stick. The other is to tether a pair of women's rubber hair bands
to the tripod legs at their base, (this is to hold the legs closed until needed).
In use, the camera holder can remain tethered, or detached, if I so desire. The
hair elastic bands are going to be tethered to a tripod leg so that when I slip
them off the tripod legs, I do not need to put them in my pocket. They may get
a bit dirty, but the selfie stick is a tool, not a jewel.

5.0 out of 5 stars It Great
investment for solo travelers

Best. Purchase. Ever! I’m a big solo traveler and I have to
tell you, this is the best investment I’ve ever made. One of the toughest
things about going alone is that you rarely have photos of yourself in all
these amazing places. Or, you have to awkwardly ask strangers to take your
photo (and, if you’re a photographic stickler like me, you’ll likely be
disappointed with the way the photo is taken because of angles, lighting, or
general composition of the shot). This Fugetek product has changed EVERYTHING!
I bought this just before I took a road trip through the southwest United
States and was worried I’d have no one to help take photos in such remote
areas. (Which I was right about!) But luckily it didn’t matter because I had
this little guy with me. :)
In terms of portability:
It’s extremely light and has a little carry bag that you can sling on your
shoulder or fit in your backpack (although it peaks out the top of mine a
little bit). The remote control snaps on the base so you don’t have to keep
track of it separately.
In terms of functionality:
It never failed me! I synced the remote to my phone right after it arrived,
and never had to do it again. The remote has an “on/off” switch and right after
I flip it on, it would automatically recognizes my phone within a few seconds.
It also has a great battery life: I charged the remote once and it lasted me
two whole vacations at this point!
In terms of devices I used :
I use an iPhone Xs with a decent size case AND a pop socket. I never removed
either because there is a good grip on the tripod and I never felt it was in
danger of falling out.
Pro Tips:
(1) Be Careful in windy areas. Because the base is small relative to the height of
the shaft (fully extended), a gust of wind will take this whole thing right
over. It happened to me once in the desert and scratched my iPhone a bit. I
solved this by wrapping my sweatshirt around the base to give it a little more
weight and stability and never had another problem in the wind. This was the
only environment I needed to do that - everywhere else was fine!
(2) Sometimes it takes a second for the picture to snap, so hold your pose for
a second after clicking the button and don’t move too quickly.
