Yes.....send videos to your frame and view, just like

By Claudia Wiliams on July 14, 2016
Yes, you can, but remember it'll loop, just like the photos,
so out of nowhere you'll be startled by music coming out of the frame!

Question:
Deciding
between pix star 15 and display 15. Does anyone have both and have a preference?
Answer:
I tried both and kept the display because the picture was
better, that was a few years ago though and now the display wants some kind of
subscription, I wish pix star would update the frame, the display had much
better contrast, and the pix star was a little washed out by comparison in my
opinion. Decreasing brightness helps but th…

Have two display frames. They continue to refuse to support one drive and they seem to be positioning for some kind of subscription model,
so I'm shopping again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tried
several frames and this is the best by far...

I had a very old digital frame that stopped working a few
months ago, since then we have been trying several frames to replace it. I
can't believe that most of them are such low quality.
The first one we purchased had a horrible interface, and useless manual, and did not
take the configuration, I set it to turn on at 8am and off at 10pm, and did not
work. It stayed on until manually turned off and stayed off until manually
turned on. We purchased another one that seemed to work but after a month the
touch screen (the only way to configure it) went bad and started changing the
configuration by itself, could not apply warranty because I lost the receipt
(should have bought it from Amazon). I purchased a third one that seemed flimsy
and cheap and also came with useless instructions so I returned it. All these 3
frames are on the lower range of price (between $60 and $80).
I was about to quit when I found this frame that seemed better, some bad
reviews but In my opinion not about major issues. Was not sure because the price
was significantly higher than most digital frames but at the end, I decided to
try it...I'm glad I did it!!!
This frame seems solid and of good quality, and the instructions are clear and cover all
options on the menu. The remote control is one of the best I saw for a device
like this and works like a charm. Configuration is easy (even without the
manual) and works as expected. I tested it with pictures from my DLNA server,
from the SD card, and from internal memory and everything worked fine. It turns
on and off according to the configuration and has several options for picture
display, I'm currently using a collage of 5 photos which looks really nice (may
look better on the 15-inch frame). It also has some features I will probably
never use like games, alerts, and online radio stations but they are good to
have in case ever needed.
I highly recommend this frame if you have the budget, it is totally worth the
price, I will just need to test the longevity, I just hope it does not break in
a month.

Considered ALL the name-brand and off-brand digital photo
frames. VERY happy we chose this one. It's not the cheapest or the largest
($$$) .. for us it had the best combination of image size, image quality, and
picture storage options.
Smaller frames are OK IF you're viewing from a few feet away ... this one is
easily viewed from across a room - one of the primary reasons we were looking
for one larger than 9-10 inches. Remember "frame" sizes are the
DIAGONAL measurement across the screen. The viewing area increase from a
10" frame to a 12" frame is bigger than you might think ... get a
ruler and a few pieces of paper and see for yourself before making your decision.
Don't let the "lower" resolution keep you from buying a larger frame.
I was concerned about this too. However, the picture quality on this one is
surprisingly sharp and bright, even in a brightly lit room. The screen's
anti-glare surface works well. Exceeded my expectations.
Has ALL picture loading and storage options (unlike other frames that are
limited):
1. Onboard memory capable of holding thousands of pictures ... an internet
connection is not mandatory for transferring, storing, or viewing pictures.
2. Transfer images via the internet (wifi, email)
3. Transfer images via USB flash drive
4. View images directly from a USB flash drive
The setup was easy, the onscreen menu/options are pretty straightforward, motion
detector works well.
Very pleased with it so far (2 months old) and planning to buy another one or
two.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comparatively
great

For the first time, I think, I find myself writing a review
in comparative terms. I mean, if I had only ever bought this frame, I probably
would rate it lower. However, compared to the appalling previous frame I bought
(and returned at a loss) from another manufacturer, this is truly marvelous.
The frameworks pretty much as advertised. It is easy to set up, and it has a
feature that I really like: it can be set up as a Samba server so that you can
upload images directly from your computer via your local network. While this is
not particularly hard to set up, if you don’t have some technical knowledge,
this task may be out of your reach though.
For me, it made all the difference between the frustrating experience of trying to
load images with the previous frame, and simply dumping the images here
directly from my laptop. So much easier and faster!
The app method is very weird, though. For some odd reason, the only other way to
load images remotely is via email. So the app allows you to select up to 30
images, which it then compresses and sends as an email.
I don’t like this, and I don’t use it, so I’m glad for the direct network
alternative.
Some of my peeves are:
It does not play HR video. I can’t be bothered to convert and compress my
videos, so I’m only using it for still images.
It claims to have a “motion detection” setting, which should activate the frame
only when it senses motion in the room. I have not been able to get this to
work.
The web radio setting is inconsistent. It plays for a while, then it stops, and
if you want to continue listening, you have to go and find your radio station
and set it to play again.
The clock, even in its smallest setting, is a very obtrusive analog clock
animation, and it can’t be moved from its default position. So I have it off.
Regardless, the images look good, and the frameworks are consistently on the
on-off schedule I set so, again, I am comparatively very satisfied.
I still think manufacturers could do a much better job with the user interface
and features, though.
